Hi guys!
If you've been reading my blog for a while you'll know that I regularly try and create some form of regularity on here by posting similar posts regularly, however its very apparent that they never last long (my monthly music playlists that started in November and ended in, well, November is a great example of this) However, I saw this on Mrs Puddings & Pies Blog called rosieposiespuddingsandpies which you can find linked HERE and I really want to start documenting my favourite things just to try and make my own little bubble a happier space!
Wine
I'm not particularly fussy, in fact, one of my favourite types of wine is £3.75 and I've often drank it out of plastic cups as pre drinks on nights out. However anything more than a bottle and a half means I'm often ridiculously smashed and end up doing things i'll no doubt regret!
Cheesecake
Oh holy crap do i like non-baked cheesecakes. I also enjoy making them and my brother enjoys eating the majority of them before anyone else can get to them.
I'm trying to branch out and make different flavours, so recently I made an Eton Mess one, I wanted to try ginger & lime but no one was as keen!
For the Eton Mess Cheesecake I used this recipe.
One Day by David Nicholas
I haven't read a proper physical book that wasn't uni related in ages, so during the heatwave we had in the UK recently I dug this book out from under my bed to finally read, after having bought it over two years ago!
The story follows Dex & Em throughout the years on the same day each year, the day after their graduation, where they first became friends. The yearly jumps made me absolutely hooked on this book and I can't believe its taken me this long to read it, whilst avoiding watching the film because I was determined to do it the right way round (if there is even such a thing!)
The Xcerts
Before 2000 Trees I had only heard of this band and knew none of their music, and now I'm completely sold! The Forest Stage on the Saturday was a complete highlight, which ended with Murray unplugging his guitar and walking into the crowd to perform the final song of the set Aberdeen 1987, which resulted in me falling in love with him even more! Their most recent album There Is Only You is filled with absolute bangers and whilst I love them all, Pop Song and Kick It are my favourites!
I'm (fingers crossed) going to try and do these as much as possible!
C'ya!
Emily xo
