Ride or Die Albums

Hi guys!

This #musicmonday is going to be about ride or die albums, in other words, your number one album.

I asked some people (the girls and my family) what album they would chose if they could only listen to one album for the rest of their lives and I thought i'd share with you the answers.

Kirsten was the first to answer and came out with Bastille's album Bad Blood because 'Bastille rule and I never get bored of their songs'

Ellie was up next and said Blink 182's self titled album 'because Blink 182' but she later gave me a proper reason why, which was because she grew up listening to that album and she remembers going to her friends house and seeing them on TOTP and she thought "yo i like this" and then she said she 'realised she was emo'
Ellie gets top marks because she also sent me a video to said TOTP performance, you can watch it HERE

Anna came back with 30 Seconds to Mars' A Beautiful Lie because Jared Leto, but also because she has a pretty similar story to Ellie

I also asked Livy what she would pick and she said her dads album which is Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich's self titled album purely because it has so many of her favourite songs on there.

Hannah is myself and just responded with Disney. I found out after a little bit of pushing that its pretty much any disney compilation album and I fully support her decision!

I then went and asked my family what theirs would be and my mum cam out with "oooooh, it would probably be Simon and Garfunkel, Bridge Over Troubled Water" which my dad described as a boring choice, but considering my dad never actually gave me a definitive answer, I don't think he's one to ask! However when asked my dad eventually came out with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, which I think is a pretty strong effort!

For me, I would personally chose Continuum by John Mayer, purely because I can still remember the first time I listened to it and the way it changed the way I thought about and listened to music. However if I could pick more than one then I would also chose Where The Light Is also by Mayer and Red by Taylor Swift (who is currently KILLING) it at the Grammy's)
