Cities

Hi guys!

First of all, sorry for the break I between posts, but I've been so busy it's unbelievable!
I first wrote this post last night while I was drunk, but I'm going to give it a go at recreating it!

I've realised why I love London.

Not only did I spend a large majority of my childhood there, being dragged around museums and galleries by my dad, who was insisting he knew the way when he really had no idea; but also in more recent years I've made some amazing memories there which is one of the reasons why I thought it was my favourite place in the world.

I thought I loved London because of the quirky cafés and restaurants coupled with the atmospheric cobbled streets which are hidden amongst all the hustle and bustle of the place.
But now I know, I love it because it's a city!

This past year I've had the opportunity to travel a bit more and the new places I've discovered and fallen in love with have all been cities.
Spending days in the sun in Brighton with Charlotte and Leanne led me to fall in love with the city , because the atmosphere is totally different when compared to London.

I've spent the last 4 days in Barcelona and it has a completely different feel to it which I adore!
I was walking back to the hostel this afternoon, and it was so relaxed and quiet, something which would normally be unusual for a Sunday afternoon!
However any other day of the week the streets are filled and they give me the chance to just be anonymous and disappear into the crowd, a place where I can do a lot of contemplating and clear my head; something which is rare when I'm back in Cheltenham.

I'm going to leave you with a few pictures from my trip,

C'ya!
Emily xo
